Alan G. Dunn

Alan G. Dunn is President of GDI Consulting & Training Company and Chairman of Gerald E. Dunn, Inc. (GDI). Before founding the GDI companies, Mr. Dunn was a Vice President at Gemini Management Consulting and a Partner at Coopers & Lybrand. For the ten years prior to joining Coopers & Lybrand, Mr. Dunn was President, (and Founder) of ADI, a successful consulting and training company that Mr. Dunn sold to Coopers & Lybrand in 1990.

In addition to his consulting experience, Mr. Dunn has many years of line management experience in manufacturing and distribution environments. He has extensive background in most functions within a manufacturing company and participated heavily in many significant projects.

Mr. Dunn has successfully performed numerous consulting and training assignments for over 28 years. Alan is a past president of the Orange County Chapter of APICS where he also served for years on the Board of Directors. He served as Chairman of the 1989 APICS International Conference and Technical Exposition. He was also a past Chairman of the APICS Education Strategy Committee. Mr. Dunn continues as an active member in APICS and is a Certified Practitioner in Inventory & Production Management (CPIM).

In addition to his own Board of Directors, Mr. Dunn currently serves as an independent Director on the following Boards:

  • Idaho Asphalt Supply Corporation, a large western states producer of asphalt paving and road coating products, with asphalt manufacturing facilities located across 5 states. Mr. Dunn is also Chairman of the Board's Compensation Committee.
  • Natural Alternatives International, Inc (NASDAQ: NAII) an international producer of nutritional supplements with factories in Southern California and Switzerland. Mr. Dunn is also a Member of the Board's Compensation and Audit Committees.
  • TMI Products, Inc., a leading edge manufacturer of automotive video systems and reproduction parts with factories in California and China.

Alan has served on a number of other Boards of Directors over his career. He is also an active member in the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and is currently a member of the American Managements Association's (AMA) Faculty Council. Mr. Dunn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from California State University in Fullerton.
